Six Bus Routes Canceled in Baku due to European Games
The Ministry of Transport has eliminated 6 bus routes in Baku and changed the route for 13 others. This step was taken on the eve of the First European Games Baku-2015 in order to "reduce the density of transport in the central part of the city" and improve passenger service, including foreign visitors.
The message of "Organization of transportation of passengers and goods" under the Ministry of Transport noted that the eliminated routes number 14, 20, 53, 86, 90 and 188 overlapped with other routes. Changes were made to 13 routes that somehow passed near the sports facilities, in which the Games Baku-2015 will be held.
Many passengers are outraged by these "innovations" that have changed their usual daily traffic home and to work. --08B-
