Son of Ex-Prosecutor General Killed in Istanbul (updated)
Baku / 19.09.18 / Turan: Etimad Ismayilov, the husband of journalist Sevil Nuriyeva, was killed with two shots by the former chief of the Baku Water Police, Gozel Demirov, in the Istanbul district of Floria. The murder occurred on September 19 in the evening. Demirov disappeared from the scene. The police began to search for him.
Gozel Demirov headed the Baku Water Police in 1995, but moved to Istanbul after the March 1995 events. Entrepreneur Etimad Ismayilov is the son of Ilyas Ismayilov, former Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan, and then Minister of Justice of the country.
The news agency Ihlas reported on the morning of September 20 that the suspect in the murder, Demirov, and his driver were detained in the morning and taken to the police.
According to preliminary data, the cause of the murder was a financial dispute caused by a refusal to repay the debt.
