State Security Service Came to Its Senses
Baku / 15.05.17 / Turan: The State Security Service (SSS) of Azerbaijan has admitted finally that the lists of its agents circulating for several days in the media and allegedly paid astronomical fees are a state secret.
The SSS recognizes that information about secret cooperation of citizens with special services, their code names and other information of the kind is a state secret. The dissemination of this information entails criminal liability, the report says.
According to the facts, an investigation has been launched, which will establish the truthfulness of the information disclosed and the availability of state secrets in them, the report said.
Recall that for a week a number of media controlled by the authorities, and then users of social networks publish information allegedly promulgated at the trial on the case of the former head of the Anti-Terrorism Center of the Ministry of National Security Elchin Guliyev.
It is noteworthy that this trial is held in closed mode and the press is not allowed there, and lawyers do not comment on the progress of the trial.
If such information appears to be made public, it only talks about a conscious leak. However, at the end of last week, the SSS and the Prosecutor General's Office refused to comment on this fact, pretending that nothing had happened.
One can only guess what could happen over the weekend. -05D-
