Teens Under 15 years will be able to Receive ID Cards
Children under 15 years will be issued substitutes for identification cards. According to Turan, at the Parliamentary Committee on Legal Policy and State Building, the Milli Majlis passed a draft law "On the personal identification card of a citizen of the Azerbaijan Republic."
If discussions during the fall session are successful, from January 1 next year, underage citizens, besides the metrics, will be eligible for a personal identification card, which will reflect their biometric data.
The document will be issued at the request of parents, adoptive parents, guardians and caregivers of adolescents.
At the age of 15 years Azerbaijani citizens have the right to obtain a regular passport. -17D-
