Ten-year-old Child Lost in November Found Burnt
Baku / 07.01.19 / Turan: In the village of Dondar Gushchu, Tovuz region, the burnt body of a local resident, 10-year-old Narmin Guliyeva, who disappeared on November 21, 2019, was found.
The Investigative Department of the Prosecutor General's Office for Serious Crimes opened a criminal case under article 120.2.9 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan (Intentional murder of a person in a helpless state involving abduction).
According to the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office, officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Prosecutor General’s Office, the Center for Forensic Expertise of the Ministry of Justice and forensic experts who were sent to the region work at the crime scene.
Investigative measures are being taken to identify and detain the perpetrators of this crime. —06D-

A fire has erupted at the Experimental and Testing Production of the Scientific Research Institute of SOCAR (the state oil company) in the Surakhani district of Baku, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported. "Thanks to the urgent and necessary measures taken by the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the spread of the fire to neighboring areas, including nearby residential buildings, has been prevented," the statement reads. Efforts to extinguish the fire are still ongoing.
