Territory of Masalli city will be increased by seven times
Urbanization Masalli regional center will take place soon, said at today's session of the Milli Majlis committee on regional issues, its chairman Arif Rahimzadeh; he said that territory will be expanded at the expense of the surrounding lands from 353 to 2,560 hectares.
According to him, in the near future the city will grow and become a center of economy, including tourism activity. Today only 14,000 residents of 214,000 are considered citizens, but by 2020 their number will increase considerably.
A member of the Parliamentary Committee on Regional Affairs, MP Rustam Khalilov noted the necessity of changes in the administrative-territorial division of Masalli region.
The deputies will also discuss the establishment of a separate municipality in the recently created Pirallahi regional center. The municipality will cover the area of the village Pirallahi (regional center), which soon will get a status of a city, said Rahimzadeh. --17D—
