Scandal at the trial in the case of Avaz Zeynalli
Today in Baku Serious Crimes Court, in the case of the editor of the newspaper "Khural" Avaz Zeynalli, he wasto be given a final word.
However, at the beginning of the trial Zeynalli said that he had a petition. In response, the prosecutor, and the judge said that the judicial investigation had been completed, and no motions can be accepted. However Zeynalli reminded that the main complainant in his case, the former MP Gular Ahmedova, was arrested.
Zeynalli demanded the return of the case for further investigation, and to ensure Ahmedova’s appearance in court. "She is perfectly healthy. She and I are in the same jail.Give instruction to bring her to the court," said Zeynalli.
In the course of the speech, he yelled at the prosecutor, calling him "disgraceful."
In response, the state prosecutor demanded to take Zeynalli out of the courtroom.
In response, the editor called the prosecutor a servant and a slave. "Who are you, you deserve to be the head of sanitation," he cried.
After that the judge Ramella Allahverdiyeva gave instruction to the guards to free room. Soon the lawyer Elchin Sadigov left the courtroom, and told reporters that the case should be sent back for further investigation of newly discovered evidence. A break was announced at the trial.
