The activity of ANS will not be resumed, National Television and Radio
ANS TV will not be able to resume activity becaue the Baku Court of Appeal on July 29 granted the petition of the National Television and Radio (NBC) on the deprivation of the license of ANS, according to the head of the NBC Togrul Mammadov. The the reason for suspending the broadcast of ANS and deprivation it of license became the preparation of an interview with the Turkish preacher Fetullah Gülen, who Ankara announced an organizer of a military coup. Therefore, the official Baku regarded the ANS actions as "propaganda of terrorism." In turn, a spokesman for NBC blames ANS for the screening the speeches on the TRT channel, read the message of the coup.
In addition, according to Mammadov, the ANS showed how tanks attacked people, cut off heads, which has also become a "sign of vandalism."
The leadership of ANS does its best to find a solution by agreement with the authorities, and strongly rejected criticism of the decision to channel closing. ANS hopes that this "awareness" will be evaluated by the authorities, which previously worked on several occasions. -03B-
