Officials do not comment on reports about Rovshan Janiyev
Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Consulate of Azerbaijan in Istanbul continues to remain silent about shooting in Istanbul a citizen of Azerbaijan, who had a passport to the name of Rovshan Aliyev. Some local sources claim that actually shot name is Jani, and his passport was forged.
Under this name is widely known a crime boss Rovshan Janiyev (Lenkoran), who, according to the Turkish side, was hospitalized in a very serious state. The Turkish side has not confirmed the information about his death, although Azerbaijani sources say that he is dead.
Despite the talk is about a high-profile murder of at least one Azerbaijani, the authorities refuse to comment. The Interior Ministry say they do not know anything about it, the press service of the Foreign Ministry did not respond to calls, and the Consulate of Azerbaijan in Istanbul refused to speak on the theme of the murder of a citizen of the country, recommending to apply to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
