The administration of President ignored NGOs" appeal
The President and his administration have still not responded to numerous letters sent by dozens of NGOs, a member of the Committee for Civil Society Gubad Ibadoglu told Turan.
Under the law , the authorities within 15 days have to respond to petitions of citizens .
Recall that the appeals from civil society representatives were associated with changes and additions introduced by the Parliament on December 17 in a number of national laws restricting the activities of NGOs. We are talking about the laws "On NGOs," "On state registration of legal entities and state register," "On Grants" and the Code of Administrative Offences.
Total there were 8 additions and 50 changes.
At the NGO Forum on January 16 representatives of civil society called the head of state not to sign the adopted amendments.
December 30 last year, representatives of NGOs held a rally in front of the presidential administration and handed over a letter of protest to the head of state. -03B04-
