The campaign "5 kopecks" collected more than 8,500 manats
As part of the “five kopecks” campaign in favor of youth activists fined for taking part in the protest on January 12, by the noon on January 19 there were 613 donations for a total of 8,522 manat. Turan was told by the organizers of the youth social entity Positive Changes.
The campaign was launched on January 15 and its essence is to show civil solidarity with young people fined for protesting against the unnecessary deaths of soldiers in the army.
It was decided to raise money in small coins to pay for the huge fine. Despite the fact that the vast majority of the donations were received from young people, the older generation is also involved in the action.
The campaign is supported by university staff, activists, journalists, lawyers, and workers of trade centers.
The fundraising is also arranged abroad – in Germany, Turkey, Russia, Canada and other countries. The fundraising is conducted every day at the address 149 Murtuza Mukhtarov Street behind Nizami Subway Station in the office of the NGO Positive Change (Tel: 5964447, 0515882417) and by bank transfer to an account in the name of Tehran Mustafayev Telman oglu, Bank Respublika (IBAN) AZ75BRES00381184000729625601 (SWIFT - BRESAZ22)).
