The court ordered Azersu OJSC to respond to a written request from Turan News Agency
Baku/19.08.19/Turan: On August 19, the first administrative and economic court of Baku ordered Azersu OJSC to give a written response to a request from the Turan News Agency on April 2, 2019.
However, the judge Miminat Hajibeyova, who made the decision, did not satisfy the request for a special ruling for officials in accordance with Articles 374, 382 of the Code of Administrative Offenses. It is a violation of the requirements of the law on freedom of information.
The information request dated April 2 contained a request to the deputy chairman of Azers OJSC, Etibar Mammadov, to provide answers to a number of questions about the water supply and sewage project in the village of Buzovna, the implementation of which began in October 2013.
In particular, the agency requested to provide detailed information about the project, the reasons for its failure, the fate of 122 million manats allocated for the project and others.
In a conversation with the director of the agency Mehman Aliyev two months ago, representatives of Azersu OJSC said that the funds were partially allocated in the amount of only 2.7 million manats, and the project could not be completed due to lack of water. According to them, the question has now been raised about laying a third water pipeline in the direction of Buzovna.
M. Aliyev accepted their arguments, but asked for a written response. Until today, a written response to an information request from the side of Azersu OJSC has not been submitted. - 0-
