Baku/31.10.18 / Turan: The Karabakh Public Committee intends to hold pickets in front of the embassies of the countries co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group - the United States, Russia and France. In this regard, a notification was sent to the Executive Power of Baku.Pickets are scheduled for November 8. So, at 11.00 it is planned to hold a rally near the French Embassy, 12.00 - the United States and 13.00 - Russia.Participants of protest actions intend to call on the co-chair countries to be active in the Karabakh settlement.
Earlier, on September 29, the Karabakh Committee held a rally under the slogan "Liberation of Karabakh" and demanded decisive action from the authorities to restore the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.The next rally is scheduled for November 24.

The closure of Azerbaijan's land borders was discussed during the parliamentary session on November 25. While the government’s decision cites the coronavirus pandemic as the main reason—despite the World Health Organization declaring its end last year—Zahid Oruj, Chair of the Human Rights Committee in the Milli Majlis, pointed to other factors. He stated, "Opening the borders could result in an influx of hundreds of thousands of non-Azerbaijani refugees due to the Russia-Ukraine war. Additionally, in Iran, many are prepared to cross into Azerbaijan to safeguard their lives and assets amid military strikes. Such waves of refugees could lead to humanitarian, social, and cultural clashes that may threaten political stability."
