Baku/05.07.20/Turan: 523 new cases of coronavirus infection were detected in Azerbaijan, 451 patients were cured, 9 people with COVID-19 died, the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers said on 5 July.
Altogether, 20 324 facts of coronavirus infection were revealed in Azerbaijan, including 11 742 people recovered, 250 died, 8 332 continue treatment in hospitals of special treatment.
A total of 516 533 tests for coronavirus were conducted, including 67 22 for the last day. —06D-

President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola has invited Azerbaijani economist and political prisoner Professor Gubad Ibadoglu to Strasbourg to attend the 2024 Sakharov Prize award ceremony. The invitation, delivered by Member of the European Parliament Michael Bloss at the COP29 climate conference, comes as Ibadoglu remains under house arrest and prohibited from leaving Azerbaijan.
