The number of marriages and divorces fell sharply during the quarantine period
Baku / 18.08.20 / Turan: The population of Azerbaijan in the first half of the year increased by 28 786 people - up to 10 million 95 894, according to the State Statistics Committee of the country.
In the first half of the year, 59 356 children were born, by 11% less than over the same period last year. 53.3% of births are boys. Among them are 1,608 twins and 57 triplets. For half a year, 31,016 people died, more than in 2019.
During the first half of the year, 17,841 marriages were registered, which is almost 40% less than in the previous year. During the same period, the number of divorces was 7107, by 14% less than last year.
For half a year, the Migration Service registered 820 people who arrived for permanent residence, and 374 people left the country. -02D-
