Baku/27.04.22/Turan: Since the beginning of 2022, the population of Azerbaijan has increased by 8,098 people, or by 0.07%, amounting to 10,164,464 people as of March 1, the State Statistics Committee of the country reports.
52.9% of the population lives in urban areas and 47.1% in rural areas.
The gender structure of the population is approximately equal - there are 1001 women for every 1000 men.
The registration departments of the Ministry of Justice recorded the birth of 20,462 children in January-February, of which 53.3% were boys and 46.7% were girls.
During the review period, 9606 marriages and 2505 divorces were registered. Compared to the same period last year, there was an increase in the number of marriages from 3.5 to 5.9 per 1,000 people. The number of divorces remained unchanged. -05D06-.
