The Pardon Commission considered over 350 appeals
Baku/27.02.21/Turan: After the resumption of the activities of the pardon commission under the President of Azerbaijan since February 16, it has considered more than 350 applications.
Appeals from various categories of prisoners were considered at the meetings - persons convicted of crimes against the person, property, health, road traffic accidents, etc., Turan was told at the Pardon Commission.
Based on the criteria established by the Regulation on the Commission, it makes decisions of a recommendatory nature. The final decision on the pardon is taken by the country's president, the commission said.
A number of human rights organizations also submitted lists for pardon, including political prisoners.
