The poslice detained two drug couriers with 91 kg of drugs delivered from Iran
Baku/08.10.23/Turan: Employees of the Main Drug Control Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan detained two suspects in drug smuggling from Iran. As a result of operational-search and operational-technical measures carried out in the Absheron district, previously convicted persons were detained - Zahid Mammadov and Gabil Muradov, the message of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
During the searches, drugs with a total weight of 91 kg were found in cars of detained persons, including 22 kg of heroin, 23 kg of methamphetamine, 46 kilograms of dried marijuana enriched with psychotropic substances, and 4,300 methadone tablets.
During the investigation, it was established that Zahid Mammadov and Gabil Muradov were drug couriers who imported drugs and psychotropic substances into the country, colluding with an Iranian citizen named "Sahavat".
They took the drugs in parts, hidden in a cache on the side of the road in the Absheron district of the place and delivered them to customers.
In fact, a criminal case was initiated under the relevant article of the Criminal Code, preventive measures in the form of arrest were taken against the members of the group. Operational-search activities are continuing in order to detain other persons who are part of an organized group, the Ministry of Internal Affairs said in conclusion. ---05B06---
