On the morning of January 28 entrepreneurs renting premises in the shopping center "Karavan" in the city of Sumgayit, held a protest against the high rents. According to Meydan TV, they have to pay rent from 500 to 1,000 manat per month. This largest shopping center in the city of Sumgayit belongs to Agamirza Ahadov, the head of the Council of Elders of the local branch of the ruling party YAP. Arrived on the representatives of the executive authorities of the city negotiated with the tenants and the owner of the object. As a result, the parties were able to reach an agreement and the owner has made concessions to entrepreneurs, reducing the price of rent by 30% -50% within three months. A few weeks ago similar demands put forward the tenants in the "Bina" - one of the two largest shopping centers in Baku.
