The trial in the case of Thale Bagirzade is postponed
Publishing of the judgment on the complaint of theologian Thale Bagirzade of torture and violation of his rights is postponed for 19 February, said Javad Javadov, the lawyer of the theologian on his page on facebook. Bagirzade and more than 10 of its supporters were detained on November 26 during a special operation in the village of Nardaran and charged with attempting to overthrow the constitutional order, as well as committing other serious crimes.
The complaint in the Nasimi Court in the judicial review said about the violation of the rights of Bagirzade to protection, and in particular, not allowing his lawyer to meet with him for a long time, keeping him in the General Directorate for Combating organized crime Ministry of Internal Affairs, and torture against him.
The court hearing in the Nasimi court was scheduled for 16:00 on February 9.
However, the trial began 15:00. In this case, the judge Babak Huseynov said he had not received answers to his requests from the relevant authorities, and cannot pass an objective decision. Therefore, he postponed the trial for 19th of February.
The lawyer believes that the issue of torture against the prisoner must be considered immediately, so that forensic examination recorded traces of violence. Since this was not done, there cannot be a talk on a fair trial, the lawyer said. -06D--

Many, recognizing the futility of resistance, settle for inadequate monetary compensation for their irreplaceable property.
