Tofig Yagublu is not allowed to leave the country
In the afternoon on May 19 former political prisoner, journalist and deputy chairman of the party "Musavat" Tofig Yagublu has not been allowed to leave the country. According to his lawyer Nemat Karimli, the incident occurred in the Gazakh region at a checkpoint "Sinig Korpu" when Yagublu wanted to go to Georgia. Border service officers told Yagublu that his departure from the country was banned. However Yagublu said that he received a month ago from the Prosecutor's Office official response that the ban on leaving the country was lifted, said his lawyer.
Yagublu was sentenced on charges of organizing riots in Ismayilli city in January 2013 to five years. On the eve of Novruz holiday in 2016, he was pardoned by presidential decree. -16D-
