Trial in the trial in the "case Nardaran-3"
Trial in the case of theologian Zulfugar Mikailova and 10 other believers, accused of trying to violent change of the constitutional order, terrorism and other serious crimes continued in the Baku Serious Crimes Court. The trial is called the "Nardaran case-3" because this is the third group of detainees accused in the organization of the Islamic movement in Nardaran.
At the trial presided over by the judge Zeynal Agayev today gave testimony the accused Mehman Mammadov, resident of the village of Nardaran. He denied the charges and said that he is not a member of the movement "Muslim unity".
Mammadov said that the Main Directorate for Combating Organized Crime offered him a deal: either to speak against the leader of the movement "Muslim unity" Thale Bagirzade and his assistant Abbas Huseynov that he had got from them the weapons; in such case they would promise to be involved in the case as a witness, or he will be accused under 10 Articles. Mamedov chose the latter.
The defendants were arrested after the special operation in the village of Nardaran on November 26th 2015; they are accused under the same Articles as the leader, as well as activists of the movement "Muslim unity" Thale Bagirzade. The next court session is scheduled for 6 March. -36C-

In the last two days, a "news" story appeared on TikTok about a whale spotted on Baku's seaside boulevard. The most "observant" users posted videos, commenting on the size of the animal. Later, other "witnesses" claimed it wasn't a whale, but a shark. Even later, a version emerged suggesting it was a submarine.
