Trade union activist Tural Farzili detained
Baku/27.10.23/Turan: Tural Farzili, a member of the board of the independent confederation of trade unions “Working Platform”, was detained. Farzili's relatives told Turan about this.
According to them, on October 27 at about 6:30 p.m., young man wrote to them a message saying that police officers had come to pick him up at work and were taking him away.
After this, the activist stopped communicating.
As reported in the “Working Platform”, three weeks ago the young man faced unlawful actions on the part of the police. He complained about them.
The day before, Farzili wrote on Facebook that the police officers were only brought to disciplinary action, while they seriously violated the law - they “exceeded their official authority,” “threatened a citizen,” etc.
Over the past three months, three members of the “Working Platform” - Afiyaddin Mammadov, Elvin Mustafayev and Aykhan Israfilov - have been arrested on criminal charges. Human rights activists recognized them as political prisoners. –21V-
