Tural Mustafayev askes Western diplomatic missions for temporary shelter (video) (UPDATED)

Journalist Tural Mustafayev after questioning in the Office for Serious Crimes Prosecutor General's Office, told Turan, that  he was summoned due to his video message of May 1. There, he admitted that he slandered the journalist Khadija Ismailova under pressure and blackmail.

On May 5 at the interrogation he was subject ted  in "mild form" to pressure, claimed Mustafayev.

At the same time, the investigator Sanan Pashayev made him sign a secrecy of the investigation.

The prosecutor's office believes that by his video conversion Mustafayev broke the secrecy of the investigation, and his statements are unfounded. In particular, the investigator was interested how  Mustafayev knows that the investigation does not prove  Ismaylova’s guilt?

The investigator also refuted the statement of  Mustafayev, that on February 27 at the interrogation the prosecutor's office participated Elmeddin Mammadov, soldier of  Special Forces  of the MNS.

"I was told that he was not an employee of the National Security Ministry, but a member of the investigative team and will participate at the trial," said Mustafayev.

Mustafayev reiterated that he rejects complaints against Ismayilova, but in response he was told that "before the trial, he can still change your mind."

When Mustafayev asked about  the response to his appeal to the Prosecutor General, he was told that the investigation is  coming to end, and  he can express his position in court.  They demanded from  Mustafayev not to make  statements in the media any more.

Therefore, Mustafayev  is concerned for  his safety and through the media,  he appealed to the  EU  representation and the US embassy with the request to ensure his safety even before the trial. He also intends to formally apply to the diplomatic mission. -06D-

IN an interview with Turan a journalist Tural Mustafayev said  about  continuing   psychological and physical pressure on him, that he did not refuse to complaint against Khadija Ismayilova. On April 7 he wrote a letter, which renounced claims to Ismayilova, and sent it to the Attorney General Zakir Garalov. The answer he received on April 26 signed by the head of the Investigation Department on Grave Crimes Eldar Ahmadov. He promised that "the statement will soon be answered." Mustafayev again said that  he was forced to testify against Ismayilova, and wrote  the claim under the dictation of the first deputy prosecutor of Baku, Azer Asgarov. Mustafayev was  blackmailed by a footage, secretly filmed at his former lodgings. "All of my guests were filmed on video. I was  blackmailed forcing to testify against Khadija Ismayilova," said Mustafayev.

One  of man on video, Isa Shahmarly ( representative of LGBT) month later committed suicide. Mustafayev  was threatened  that he will be accused of involvement in his death, as well as a meeting with the Armenians in the Georgian village of Techali.

 "On December 27 I was going to fly out of the Gabala airport to Moscow, but I was told that my leaving the country was  banned. Right there, I said that'll take back my  complaint, and returned to Goychay to my parents' house. After that,  the head of the Antiterrorist Center of MNS Ilgar Aliyev called my father. In the meantime, I have prepared a statement renouncing the complaint, but did not send, because in front of my house I was detained by police and two employees of the National Security Ministry. Tural was taken to Baku, and kept in service apartment  of the MNS that near the television SPACE TV. "I remained under house arrest until February 14, with no telephone and the Internet.

Until that day I persisted on  giving up the complaint.  On 14 February  came  Special Forces soldiers, beaten and put  me in a car, wearing a bag over my head,  and was taken to a psychiatric hospital No.1, the Department of neurosis to the doctor Leyla Aliyeva. There I was forced injections of psychotropic drugs. I was registered as an employee of the MNS named  Valeh Mammadov. As a result of the beatings, I started bleeding from a wound on the back and I was operated on, " continued Mustafayev. Being asked if he could be arrested, Mustafayev said  that they can  bring charges  against him under Article 296 (knowingly false accusation of a crime), and  can be sentenced to  three years.

"We were friends with Khadija, and I respect her. I  often visited her at home, and our relationship  were good been good," said Mustafayev.   On Tuesday, May 5,  Mustafayev was again summoned to the Investigation Department for Serious Crimes Prosecutor General's Office.

On the basis of complaints  by Mustavayev,  on December 5, 2014, well-known journalist Khadija Ismayilova was accused of  incitement to suicide, and arrested.  -16/03D-
