Tural Mustafayev askes Western diplomatic missions for temporary shelter (video) (UPDATED)
Journalist Tural Mustafayev after questioning in the Office for Serious Crimes Prosecutor General's Office, told Turan, that he was summoned due to his video message of May 1. There, he admitted that he slandered the journalist Khadija Ismailova under pressure and blackmail.
On May 5 at the interrogation he was subject ted in "mild form" to pressure, claimed Mustafayev.
At the same time, the investigator Sanan Pashayev made him sign a secrecy of the investigation.
The prosecutor's office believes that by his video conversion Mustafayev broke the secrecy of the investigation, and his statements are unfounded. In particular, the investigator was interested how Mustafayev knows that the investigation does not prove Ismaylova’s guilt?
The investigator also refuted the statement of Mustafayev, that on February 27 at the interrogation the prosecutor's office participated Elmeddin Mammadov, soldier of Special Forces of the MNS.
"I was told that he was not an employee of the National Security Ministry, but a member of the investigative team and will participate at the trial," said Mustafayev.
Mustafayev reiterated that he rejects complaints against Ismayilova, but in response he was told that "before the trial, he can still change your mind."
When Mustafayev asked about the response to his appeal to the Prosecutor General, he was told that the investigation is coming to end, and he can express his position in court. They demanded from Mustafayev not to make statements in the media any more.
Therefore, Mustafayev is concerned for his safety and through the media, he appealed to the EU representation and the US embassy with the request to ensure his safety even before the trial. He also intends to formally apply to the diplomatic mission. -06D-

Mustafayev again said that he was forced to testify against Ismayilova, and wrote the claim under the dictation of the first deputy prosecutor of Baku, Azer Asgarov.
