Two Opposition Members Detained after Action in Liman
After protests in Liman in the Lankaran region in the south of Azerbaijan two local opposition activists were detained.
The head of the regional branch of the Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan (PFPA) Nazim Hasanli was detained by the District Police Department and taken to an unknown destination. According to local sources, he is charged with participating in the protest in Liman.
The activist of the Lankaran organization of the party Musavat Iman Aliyev was also detained. He is "charged with" informing the media about the protest.

On January 12, about 200 people blocked the Baku-Astara highway in protest against the artificial increase in prices following the second devaluation of the manat.
The road was opened after the local authorities and the police entered into negotiations with the protesters.
