UK and Azerbaijan discuss education partnership

November 2015 - British Council Azerbaijan is pleased to announce a UK and Azerbaijan Higher Education Institutions Networking Event to be held on 9 November2015at the Hilton Hotel. The aim of the event is to bring UK and Azerbaijan university representatives together to have face-to-face discussions, to learn about common interdisciplinary interests and exchange contact details for further partnership opportunities.

Creating opportunities for partnership relations between UK and Azerbaijan universities is a major priority for the British Council.  This networking opportunity will help develop further partnerships in possible forms of student exchange, dual-degree programmes, teacher training, curriculum development and etc. This event is supported by the Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan Republic, reads a press release form British Council.

The UK university representatives participating in the UK Education Fair on 7-8November 2015were invited to spend one more day in Azerbaijan on 9 November and join higher education institutions networking event focusing on successful partnership development with the higher education intuitions of Azerbaijan.

The official opening of the event with the participation of media representatives will take place on 9 November. UK university representatives will be making presentations on their universities for Azerbaijan’s university representatives. These presentations will be followed by Q&A session. After the presentation, all universities are invited for networking opportunity where they can exchange contacts and discuss possible co-operations plans.

The representatives of the Ministry of Education and rectors, vice-rector and deans of international relations departments of Azerbaijan universities are expected to attend the event. The event is open to all universities of Azerbaijan. -02D-
