"Victim" admitted that he testified against human rights advocate through torture
The so-called "victim" Akif Jafarov, publicly admitted that he gave false testimony against the human rights defender and journalist Fuad Huseynov, who was arrested for the scandalous case known as Wolves' Valley.
"I have given false testimony against Fuad Huseynov, who was arrested and slandered by the mafia group Wolves' Valley created by the head of the police department of the Ujar region, Tahir Guliyev, his deputy Ilham Akhmedov and the judge Chingiz Iskenderov. According to the trumped-up charges, Fuad Huseynov at 18.00 on July 3, 2010 stabbed me and Azad Huseynov in front of the post department in the Ujar region, he said in his address to various state bodies and the head of state. "In fact, I was forced to give false testimony against Fuad Huseynov under the pressure from the mafia group. According to the preconceived plan, Azad and I had to stab ourselves in advance on the village cemetery Geraybeyli. We then wrote a complaint that Fuad Huseynov did this.
Only then I realized my mistake and fled to Baku. I went to the authorities with a complaint and confirmed that the case was fabricated in the Ujar court, presenting concrete evidence. Despite all this, the judge Chinghiz Iskenderov, a member of the mafia group, on September 26, 2011 issued an illegal sentence. Fuad and I filed an appeal. After that, for 10 days, I was illegally detained at the Ujar police, where I was forced to abandon the appeal. Unable to withstand the beatings and torture, I took the appeal back.
The Shirvan Court of Appeals for a year has been considering the appeal by Fuad. The Court of Appeal revealed a lot of evidence to prove the innocence of Fuad and fabrication of the case.
A video performance of the so-called witnesses Elchin Aliyev, Ramil Salakhov, Vidadi Mursalov, and Farman Abdullayev has been posted on Youtube, which confirms that during the preliminary investigation they gave false testimony against Fuad. A CD with these speeches was sent to President Ilham Aliyev.
I ask all the people living in Azerbaijan - merciful and righteous people, officials, and most importantly, President Ilham Aliyev, to see this posted on Youtube.com videofact proving the innocence of Fuad Huseynov, who was arrested on false, slanderous accusations of the mafia group Wolves' Valley. Please, consider my appeal and fairly consider the case of Fuad Huseynov."
The former employee of the Ujar newspaper Bizim Soy, Fuad Huseynov, in 2010 was sentenced to six and a half years in prison under Article 221 (hooliganism). Human rights activists believe that his arrest was the result of the exposure of a criminal syndicate involved in drug trafficking and human trafficking.
Following him in November 2011, the human rights activist, Taleh Khasmamedov, was arrested when he was trying to defend Huseynov, and was conducting his own investigation. He was sentenced to 4 years on false charges under articles 221.3 (hooliganism) and 315.1 (providing resistance to the police.)
