Villagers in Nardaran Demand Objective Investigation
Today the elders of Nardaran are going to hold talks with the leadership of law enforcement agencies to clarify the situation of the detainees and the wounded and the delivery of the bodies of the killed. Turan was told by one of the elders of Nardaran Natig Kerimov.
According to him, there is still no precise information about the injured and the detained.
"According to relatives, 18-20 people were detained. There is no information on the number of injured and their condition," said Kerimov.
He also pointed out that the residents are outraged by statements of the authorities on a coup prepared in Nardaran and by the arrest of young people, called extremists.
"We categorically reject the allegations. We demand an objective investigation. Eyewitnesses claim that the locals did not open fire on the police. Law enforcement authorities should find out who opened the fire. Mass arrests of people are unacceptable," said Kerimov. -06D--
