Yashar Jafarli: Attack on me was organized by people of Safar Abiyev
Regular hearing in the case of an attack on the military expert Yashar Jafarli, a member of the National Council, was held. According to Jafarli, the investigation is trying to present an assassination an ordinary conflict, and fix this by court decision. However Jafarli believes that it was an attempt on his life was organized by the people of the Defense Minister, Safar Abiyev.
"It is obvious from the case file that it was a committed crime against me because of my political activities. There was no objectivity during the investigation and in court," said Yashar Jafarli. He regarded negligence in the investigation of his case, as pressure on the National Council.
Yashar Jafarli was attacked on April 2 this year in front of his house.
With the help of his neighbors, he was able to detain one of the two attackers and handed him over to the police.
The detainee was an officer in the Ministry of Defense. Until now, the Defense Ministry has not commented on this fact, and the behavior of its officers. -03D04-

Baku, often called the "Caucasian Dubai," is increasingly known for systematic violations of residents' housing rights. During urban renovations and the construction of elegant new buildings, thousands of families in Azerbaijan’s capital have been unlawfully deprived of their homes. Many, recognizing the futility of resistance, settle for inadequate monetary compensation for their irreplaceable property. A minority, placing faith in the Housing Code, demand fair compensation from construction companies but often lose everything—both their homes and any form of recompense.
