Youtube blogger arrested for extortion
Baku/22.12.21/Turan: The head of the Youtube channel "Beyaz TV" Rustamov Bahram Almamed oglu was arrested on charges of fraud and provoking bribery. He was brought to justice by the Main Department for Combating Corruption under the General Prosecutor of Azerbaijan.
According to the press service of the General Prosecutor's Office, during the investigation there were reasonable suspicions that Rustamov, posing as journalists, extorted money from the heads of educational institutions in the Samukh region, threatening to publish incriminating information.
In addition, Rustamov is suspected of fraud against the participants in the Patriotic War. According to the investigation, he took money allegedly in order to register veterans in the queue for apartments and cars.
A criminal case has been opened against Rustamov. He was charged under Articles 178.2.2, 178.2.3 (repeated fraud committed by a person using his official position), 182.2.2 (extortion with threats) and 32.4, 312.2 (incitement to bribe) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan. He was arrested by a court decision.-05D06-
