The first month of Russia's war against Ukraine

A month has passed since Russia's large-scale invasion of Ukraine. The whole world has finally witnessed that the real goal of the audacious enemy is the total destruction of Ukraine, its people, history, culture, and traditions. Why? Because Ukraine is not what Russia would like us to be.

Ukraine is striving for freedom, for peaceful and efficient management of its land, for the development of democratic values and for our descendants to be proud that they are Ukrainians and full members of the united European family.

At the same time today's Russia is a monster which had for many years been growing on the ruins of under-destroyed USSR, feeling its inferiority, accumulating anger and envy towards those who managed to change mentally; who found strength and courage enough to get out of the system, which was inherited from the Soviet totalitarian mud.

That is why the Russian leadership deliberately tries to forcibly impose the ideology of its invented narrative of the "Russian world," giving daily commands for the ruthless destruction of Ukrainian cities and industry, for the cynical shelling of civilians, schools, kindergartens, hospitals, and maternity homes.

Today's Russia is a terrorist state that seizes Ukrainian nuclear power plants in order to blackmail the whole world; that holds hundreds of thousands of peaceful citizens of Ukraine as hostages; that does not hesitate to steal and forcibly export Ukrainian women and children from Ukraine to Russia.

The tentacles of this monster became the Russian soldier as a symbol of the absence of any morality, humanity, honor and dignity, which today has received his clear characteristic: invader, aggressor, fascist, criminal and rapist.

This notwithstanding, during the month of the war Ukraine has completely debunked the myth of a modern and professional "second army in the world. This army has already been effectively defeated by the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Ukrainian people.

Partly realizing the failure of its futile and pointless "military operation," the Kremlin raises the stakes. Using its last trump card, the Russian authorities began to frighten the world with the possible use of chemical, biological and nuclear weapons.

The Russians' aim is to sow panic and protest sentiments in society. In response, the Russian Federation is receiving even greater resistance from the civilized world, even greater support for Ukraine from our friends, and even greater consolidation of Ukrainian society in opposing the Russian aggression.

At the same time, Ukraine is now on the brink of a humanitarian catastrophe. By destroying Ukraine, Putin is not only trying to reshape the entire system of the world order that was established after World War II, but also to create conditions for a new Holodomor in the 21st century, as well as to deal a crushing blow to the food security of other countries.

Ukraine is one of the world's leading exporters of agricultural products. Today there are real fears that military operations on the territory of our state could jeopardize a full-fledged sowing campaign in 2022. The result will be that Ukrainian agrarians will not be able to fully implement field work in the war zones. As a consequence, the Ukrainian export of certain food groups (wheat, oats, buckwheat, sugar and rye) will be significantly limited.

It is predicted that 20% to 30% of the sown fields for winter cereals, corn and sunflowers in Ukraine will not be sown or will remain unharvested during the 2022-2023 season. Thus, due to Russian military aggression, the world prices of food and fodder may increase by more than 20%.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine and the entire Ukrainian People continue to resist the enemy! Ukraine has rallied the entire civilized world around itself.
