Ramiz Mehdiyev loses one more position
Baku / 08.31.20 / Turan: On August 31, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed an order to change the members of the Anti-Corruption Commission appointed by the head of state. Aliyev appointed to the commission the following persons : Samir Nuriyev, head of the presidential administration (AP); Fuad Aleskerov, the presidential aide, the head of the department for work with law enforcement agencies; Gunduz Kerimov, the assistant to the first vice president, head of the department of legislation and legal expertise of the presidential administration; VIlayet Eyvazov, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs; and Ali Nagiyev, the head of the State Security Service.
The Commission consists of 15 members, five of whom are appointed by the President, five by Parliament and another five by the Constitutional Court. The chair of the commission is elected from among its members at its next meeting by voting. Until today, the commission was headed by the former head of the presidential administration Ramiz Mehdiyev. His absence among the new members of the commission, appointed by the presidents, means that Mehdiyev will no longer be the chair of the structure. .021B06-
