Hand-woven carpet of 600 square meters made in Tabriz
Baku/27.06.19/Turan: The carpet-makers of the city of Tabriz (Iranian province of East Azerbaijan) wove together with a handmade carpet of 600 square meters.
According to IRNA, this is the world's largest carpet, having up to 70 colors. The carpet was woven for 6 years, and it weighs 3 tons.
The volume of carpet production in the province of East Azerbaijan is 1 million square meters per year, and the volume of exports to Europe, Russia, China and the Arab countries of the Persian Gulf - $ 100 million per year.
Tabriz is the capital of South Azerbaijan. The total number of the Azerbaijani population of Iran is about 30 million people. -02D-
