In Prague, the first forum "Days of Cinema of CIS countries in the Czech Republic" has finished. This is the beginning of the annual project representing the work of filmmakers from the CIS countries in Europe.
The forum is supported by the Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation of CIS (IFESCCO) and the Russian Cultural Foundation. The program of the Forum represented the best films of Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia, and screenings were held in the theater festival Svetozor.
Viewers could not only watch a good movie, but also get acquainted with the culinary traditions of the participating countries.
The film forum opened with showing a picture by the Azerbaijani film director Murad Ibrahimbekov "And there was not a better brother," which was first shown in the last year's film festival in Karlovy Vary.
At the forum the picture was introduced by the director. Through the story the life of an Azerbaijani family is shown not only in the atmosphere of the 60s of last century, but in the spiritual connection between the man and the environment. In the picture you can see the colorful works of famous actors in world cinema - Sergey Puskepalis, Nino Ninidze and Yevgeny Tsyganov.
The director is known to European audiences for the film "Oil," which won the Silver Lion at the Venice Film Festival.
The program also included the Azerbaijani animated film "A malicious fly" (directed by Frangiz Kurbanova), filmed by a creative group of Birlik Film Studio in the studio Mozalan in 2011 (writer - Gulshan Tofiggyzy, production designer - Javid Akhadov, animators - Zema and Javid Akhadova, composer - Firudin Allahverdi).
By the decision of the jury of the XVI International Festival of Children's Animated Film Goldfish, which took place in Sochi in August 2011, the director was awarded a special prize - "For high professionalism." -0 -
