Baku/26.11.21/Turan: The information that the winner of the tenders announced by the State Fund for Social Protection of the Population under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population (MLSPP) was Ekvita Consulting, owned by the brother-in-law of Deputy Minister Anar Kerimov, appeared recently in the media and social networks.
According to the report, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population has selected Ekvita Consulting as the winner of an open tender for consulting services in connection with the application of the international standard of management systems in the fight against bribery. The winning company will be paid AZN 30,000.
Social and political activist Bakhtiyar Hajiyev spoke about this in the "Difficult Question" program.
According to Hajiyev, in the last 1-2 months he has been investigating reports and complaints regarding the activities of the MLSPP. There are many complaints - both from the population and from employees of this structure.
“There are many honest, conscientious people in the MLSPP, who, seeing that the leadership of the ministry in which they work, instead of making life easier for citizens already burdened with social problems, are dealing with materialistic and questionable issues,” he said ...
Also, according to the activist, his attention was attracted by a message from one of the pro-government news agencies that the newly minted Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population (appointed on April 21, 2018 - Ed.) Concluded in order to introduce an international standard of management systems in the fight against bribery and corruption is an agreement with a certain company.
“To tell the truth, I have repeatedly encountered all sorts of violations, with elements of corruption during tenders, but I have never met such a comical violation. It turned out that this consulting company belongs to the brother-in-law of the Deputy Minister Anar Kerimov. The director of this company is a relative of the Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection Anar Karimov, a certain Ilgar Mehdi,” Hajiyev said.
According to him, when a search is given in the electronic portal of the Republican Procurement Agency for "State Employment Service, State Social Protection Fund (SSF) and at the same time Ekvita Consulting", it turns out that this is not the first tender with the participation of these structures.
“Earlier, the SFSZ paid the same company 52.5 thousand manats in connection with another tender, and the State Employment Agency within the MLSPP paid 920 thousand manats.
In addition, the company is implementing one or more components of the $ 100 million Employment Support Project, financed by a World Bank loan. For these purposes, the company was allocated 9 million 265 thousand dollars " he says. –0--
