Accord Corporation Launches Kutaisi Bypass Road
The Georgian branch of the Building and Industrial Investment Corporation Accord completed the project on the construction site of the Kutaisi bypass road.
The bypass concrete road of the first category, the construction of which started February 17, 2012, is designed to ensure the smooth movement of trucks used to transport goods from Turkey to Georgia and Azerbaijan, and in the opposite direction, bypassing the city of Kutaisi.
Along with the 17.3-kilometer Kutaisi bypass road built within the project for the construction of East-West Highway, which is part of the Great Silk Road, a 16-kilometer road in Samtredia was put into operation.
"The Georgian government appreciated the quality of the work," today's report of the Corporation Accord reads.
The construction of roads in Kutaisi and Samtredia with total length of 33.3 km is one of the largest projects undertaken by the Corporation in Georgia over the past three years. Throughout the road, with a width of 11.5 meters, there were built 6 bridges (total length of 1,985 m), 7 overpasses and 42 box culverts.
In 2015 Accord will celebrate the 10th anniversary of founding the corporation. The priorities of its activity are construction and development. The corporation acts as a holding group and includes dozens of companies and enterprises. --08D--
