Airline "WizzAir" opens regular flights to Baku
Till mid-summer the airline "WizzAir" will launch regular direct flights from Budapest to Baku, Deputy Minister of Economic Development Niyazi Safarov, the Director of the Hungarian airline "WizzAir".
The meeting was attended by the ambassadors of the two countries accredited in Baku and Budapest, it was noted that an agreement on the opening of the flight was reached during the October 2012 3rd meeting of the bilateral intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation. All the necessary documents have been agreed.
Niyazi Safarov said that the opening of air lines will expand cultural, humanitarian, and economic and trade cooperation between the two friendly countries.
According to the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan, in 2012, Hungary imported goods worth a total of $ 23.7 million, by 35.5% less than the previous year. Exports of goods in the opposite direction in the last two years was little - in the range of $ 50 million. --08D--

At today’s session of the Milli Majlis, Azerbaijan’s parliamentarians discussed and approved in the first reading a draft law increasing the minimum subsistence level for 2025. The updated figures reflect a modest rise of 10 manats, setting the nationwide living wage at 285 manats. For specific demographics, the levels are 305 manats for the working population, 232 manats for pensioners, and 246 manats for children. The same session also approved the criterion of need at 285 manats for the coming year, aligning it with the national living wage.
