Airport Reconstructed in Yevlakh
The repair works in the Yevlakh Airport completed as part of its reconstruction. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev participated in the opening ceremony.
President of CJSC Azerbaijan Airlines Jahangir Askerov reported that since March this year built a new runway with length of 2,520 m, which is more than twice the old one. The bandwidth is 40 m and also built was a guide way with length of 345 m , the apron area of ??30.8 thousand square meters and the airport terminal of 1,200 sq. m. and reconstructed was a four-storey building area of ??1,300 square meters, where the control point is.
To ensure the safety they set up all the necessary system that meets the requirements of the International Civil Aviation Organization. A fence was built around the perimeter of the airport with length of 9 km. Conditions have been set up for parking 60 cars .
From the airport of Yevlakh aircraft flied to Baku, Nakhchivan and Mineralniye Vody, Russia. Also, the airport served agricultural aviation.
It is unknown when really the Yevlakh airport will be commissioned. The spokesman for AZAL Maharram Safarli told Turan, that the schedule of the airport will be determined soon. - 08D-
