Non-food Sales Growing in Azerbaijan
For eight months in the retail sale goods were sold to the population with a total value of 12.2 billion manats. This is 9.4 % more than in the same period of 2012, the State Statistics Committee told Turan.
The share of non-food items in the structure of retail sales for the reported period amounted to 48%. Compared to the same period last year, the figure rose by 4.3 %.
In 2003, the consumption of food products reached 66.3 %. In subsequent years, the rate began to decline and in 2012 was 55.4 %.
SSC is not a real integration of retail trade. No such statistics and the Ministry of Taxes. SSC defines the volume of retail sales of its own methodology.
According to these calculations, from 2003 to 2012, the volume of retail sales of goods to the population increased from 3 billion to 17.5 billion manat. With these figures, as well as with changes in the sales mix, the government is trying to justify the welfare of the population. - 08D-
