AR for first time begins passenger transportation by high-speed train on Baku-Agstafa-Baku route
Baku/10.03.23/Turan: Starting from 18 March "Azerbaijan Railways" JSC (AR) will extend Baku-Ganja-Baku high speed train route to Agstafa station and for the first time will carry passengers on Baku-Agstafa-Baku high speed train route.
"If before the pandemic of coronavirus COVID-19 (March 2020) passengers were transported from Baku to Agstafa by a passenger train which ran for 8 hours, now this distance of 459 km will be covered in 4 hours 55 minutes," the AR said.
Note that the high-speed passenger train will depart from Baku daily at 08:45 and arrive at Agstafa station at 13:40. On the route Aghstafa - Baku train will depart daily at 17:10 and arrive at the Baku station at 22:05. The average speed of the high speed passenger train on the relevant route will be 100 km/hour.
The cost of travel from Baku to Agstafa is 17 manats for standard class and 16 manats for the Baku-Tovuz route.
At that, the Baku-Agstafa-Baku route will be served by a four-car double-decker high-speed passenger train manufactured by the Swiss "Stadler Rail Group". Total passenger capacity of the train is 364 seats. -08B-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
