Azerbaijan increased natural gas export
According to the meters of the Azerbaijan State Customs Committee, during 2013 Azerbaijan delivered 7,294,698,900 cub.m. of natural gas to the foreign markets. Gas export increased by 4.3%.
According to the customs declarations, during this year gas export totaled 3,035,062,028 cub.m. to the amount of $701,980,200. Considering this data, during 2013 Azerbaijan sold natural gas at an average price of $231.29 per 1000 cub.m.
Gas export increased by 8.21% (in money equivalent) against 2012.
By January 1, 2014 the share of gas in the total export of the republic reached 2.93%.
According to the meters, in 2012 6.99 billion cub.m. of natural gas was exported from Azerbaijan. Of this amount 2,714,000,000 cub.m. to the amount of $648,717,000 was exported on the basis of the customs declarations. In 2012 Azerbaijan sold natural gas at an average price of $239.03 per 1000 cub.m.
Gas from the Shah-Deniz field is not declared by the customs agencies during export.
At present SOCAR exports gas to Russia, Georgia and Iran for Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (NAR).—0—

Azerbaijan's financial standing continues to strengthen as the country's foreign currency reserves have surged to $71 billion as of January 1, 2025, according to the Ministry of Finance.
