Azerbaijan oil fund plans to buy elite property in Moscow in front of "Armenia" store
Azerbaijan State Oil Fund could buy the trade-business centre "Actor Gallery" in the Moscow centre, writes Izvestiya newspaper.
The newspaper writes that the Fund has already petitioned to the Russian Anti-Monopoly Service to buy 100% shares of "Tverskaya, 16" company, which owns and manages the centre. The final decision has not been made yet. According to the experts' estimates, market value of the object is $100-105 million.
"Tverskaya, 16" now belongs to the Capital Insurance Group. It was announced in April 2012 that the building was put up for sale.
The building on the crossing of Tverskaya street and Strastnoy boulevard (in front of "Armenia" store) was built in 1882. The Russian Theatre Society and the Actor's House with the restaurant by the same name were located here in the Soviet times. In 1990 the building caught fire, which burnt everything, leaving the facade. The building was renovated in 1995 and the office part was built here in the courtyard.
"Actor Gallery" is among the first elite objects of commercial property of the Russian capital. The area of the trade-business centre occupies 18,000 sq.m.-0-
