Azercell Telekom Awarded the Stevie in Two Categories
The local mobile operator Azercell Telekom has been for second time awarded the International Business Awards - Stevie.
This time the company received a bronze award for social responsibility in an important project Carbon Calculator in Azerbaijan.
To participate in the competition, International Business Awards 2012 received a total of 3,200 requests from companies and individuals from 50 countries.
In the face of such strong competition in the first two months on the basis of discussions, the winners were preliminary selected. At the final stage, Azercell was declared the winner of the Stevie in two categories. Carbon Calculator for New Generation of the company in 2012 was awarded the Stevie in terms of "the year's Department of Public Relations" and "The creative team of the year" - is said in the statement.
The Azercell project Carbone Calculator is one of the initiatives to prevent global climate change. Calculator calculates the amount of carbon dioxide that is released into the atmosphere on a daily basis, which allows to see clearly and to monitor its impact on the environment. Using the calculator, located on the site of Azercell, anyone can find a variety of recommendations to reduce the impact on global climate change, a more secure environment for the rules of conduct.
The award Stevie is awarded only to the leading companies in the world. Its aim is to promote the identification of successful companies around the world, the assessment of their activities. Since 2002, more than 60 companies and individuals from different countries have won the competition International Business Awards.
This year, on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the competition, silver and bronze Stevies were also awarded. For local business, an Azeri company entering the list of the beneficiaries is a gratifying fact. - 17D-
