BP meets SOCAR president in London
The president of the Azerbaijan state oil company SOCAR, Rovnag Adbullayev, and his senior executive team met BP group chief executive Bob Dudley and the BP upstream executive team in London yesterday.
They agreed to continue working closely with SOCAR and the partner group to manage oil production from the Azeri-Chirag -Guneshli fields in the Caspian Sea for the benefit of the State of Azerbaijan and its partners.
Bob Dudley said: “It was an open and constructive meeting and the task ahead is clear. BP is fully committed to Azerbaijan and the effective management of the ACG field complex, one of the world’s great oil fields.” –12D--

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
