Communications Ministry to Begin Issuing Electronic Signatures to Individuals
By the end of this year, the first individuals will get mobile electronic signatures.
The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) of Azerbaijan reported that, during the operation of the Centre issuing digital signatures, 28 senior officials of government agencies have already received 2,080 digital signatures (EDS).
Now, simplified access to all kinds of electronic services on the portal ehdis.az even via mobile phones will be provided to all the citizens of the country. Mobile operators have started with the preparations for the technical support of the innovation.

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
