Due to Combustion of Household Waste 182 million KW / h of Electricity Produced
In 2015, the Tamiz Shahar plant for incineration of municipal waste generated 182 million KW / h of electricity by neutralization of 506 thousand tons of waste. The Azerbaijan Ministry of Economic Development says the amount transferred to the single grid - 153.5 million KW / h of electricity - could meet the demand of the Khatai district, one of the largest ones in Baku.
In value terms, the volume of commodity produced by OJSC Tamiz Shahar is 9.1 million manat.
Note that the plant for incineration of household waste in Baku was put into operation in 2012. So far, the plant has not reached the design capacity (231 500 000 KW / h). The construction of the plant cost the state 346 million euro.
In 2014, Azerbaijan produced approximately 21 billion KW / h of electricity. Thus, the share of Tamiz Shahar in the total portfolio of power generation is 0.75%. --- 08B
