Government Presented Strategy for Management of Illegal Buildings
The State Committee for Property Affairs together with experts from the World Bank has prepared and submitted to the Government of Azerbaijan a specific strategy for managing illegal construction. This was announced at today's event in Baku on the occasion of the five-year period of the project "Registration of real estate."
This draft is a subcomponent on illegal buildings. The press service of the State Committee told Turan that the main objective of the strategy is the protection of the property rights of citizens of Azerbaijan. The strategy has not yet been released to the public.
According to official sources in Azerbaijan, there are over 500 thousand illegal structures, mostly single-family houses. Some of them were built in the protection zone of utilities. - 08D-
