Immediate plans for the platform Mobile Monday
Today was another event in Caspian Investment Centre (CIC) in conjunction with the first mobile operator in Azerbaijan Bakcel. The meeting was on the theme "New year - new plans."
The event discussed the new plans of Mobile Monday (MoMo) in 2013. The presentation was led by project manager Aysel Huseynova.
According to her, the project team has already started to develop a plan for the coming year. In the first stage the organizers plan to conduct a survey among stakeholders to identify the most popular mobile applications in Azerbaijan. Also, the intention is to form a team to develop mobile applications in various fields in the form of a pilot, including news, business and entertainment applications. In addition, during 2013, MoMo Baku is to hold a campaign to inform the public in order to promote mobile applications in Azerbaijan.
According to the company, Amid Guliyev and Shaig Muradov made a presentation of the project Kinotap.az. In parallel, there was the presentation of the company Webtec. On the part of the organization spoke Ruslan Zeynalov and Igor Slavutych. They spoke about Webtec and teamwork in a business. However, the company informed the participants about the online ordering service in beauty salons, spas, and other matters.
The plans of the organizers of Mobile Monday include involvement in the events of companies interested in the project. Thus, developers will be able to implement the ideas and establish their own business.
General information about Mobile Monday Baku: Founded in Helsinki (Finland) in 2000, Mobile Monday (MoMo) is an open platform for public managers, developers and other influential figures in the mobile industry, stimulating cooperation and business opportunities through networking events in real time.
Baku is the 123rd city that joined the platform Mobile Monday in 2011. Official Partner of MoMo Baku is Bakcell, the first mobile operator in Azerbaijan, in collaboration with CIC. MoMo Baku InfoDev project is also supported by the World Bank.
The main objectives of MoMo in Azerbaijan are acceleration of innovation in the mobile sector in the country through the provision of technological innovation in the local and international markets with the implementation of new projects and applications.

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
