JSC Azeryolservis prepared a resettlement plan for the second phase of construction of highway Baku - Shamakhi

JSC Azeryolservis under the Ministry of Transport has published the second part of the resettlement plan, the project of construction of two additional lanes on one of the main highways of the country - the highway Baku - Shamakhi.

According to the document, due to local conditions along the entire length of this section there will be taken into account the requirement to comply with the 30-timetrovoy roadside on each side of the center line of the track. The goal is to capture more land and facilities subject to the implementation of the project.

According to the latest project developed by the consulting firm URS, a roadside strip fall 0.1461 hectares of private residential areas and a few trees, 0.0961 hectares of commercial land and buildings (car repair shop, gas station), and 16.37 hectares of cultivated area 230 allotments. In addition, the construction covered 3.87 hectares of municipal land. For the convenience of the local people and farmers they will build 13 pedestrian crossings and bridge-type transitions for livestock.

Compensation to landowners will be paid on the basis of World Bank studies of the land market and real estate in 2008-2010.

The first 13.5 km of Baku-Shamakhi was expanded to four lanes as part of its reconstruction in 2008-2010. Since 2011, construction began on two bands. Currently being built are 30 km of road in the area of ??15-45 km of the highway.

Prior to that Azeryolservis unveiled a report on the relocation of the section of road from 46 km to 65.7 km. This second phase of resettlement spans from 65.7 to 91 km. It is planned to build a new road route length of 71.4 km.
