Launched Online Photo Contest "My Azerbaijan"
The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has announced the launch of online photo contest "My Azerbaijan". The competition is held in three categories: "Nature" - the beautiful scenery of Azerbaijan, "History" - photos that reflect the traditions of Azerbaijan, the country's history and the "most original photograph."
Photos are accepted on October 31, 2013.
To determine the winners from 1 to 25 November in Internet voting will be conducted online. According to the results of voting and the opinion of the jury members of the public and private sector, and NGOs will determine the winners who will receive prizes (in each category the 1st place - a laptop, the 2nd place - a netbook, the 3rd place - a mobile phone that supports 3G).
Each participant may submit up to 3 photographs that should be in high quality, accompanied by the relevant information (title of the photo and a brief description, the date and place) and do not violate copyright laws. Photos do not meet the theme of the competition, promote violence and do not meet the national mentality (?) To participate in the competition are not allowed.
Photos should be loaded via the site www.iktili.az.
Awarding of winners will take place on December 6, the day of the professional holiday of workers of communications and information technology. - 17D-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
